Thick oil-and-wax-rich hide with the substantial feel THE ALPHA™ is built around.
Heavy-duty double-prong roller buckle, solid D-ring, and serious steel hardware.
The unmistakable chain-wrapped design that makes a Rhino Collar a Rhino Collar.
Built for dogs that destroy regular gear.
Meet THE ALPHA™. I hand-cut every collar from thick 11 oz latigo leather, build it with 304 stainless steel hardware, and secure the major components with solid-body aircraft aluminum rivets. Then I wrap it in Rhino's signature steel chain.
Why Ordinary Gear Doesn't Cut It
Most collars are built for the average dog. THE ALPHA™ was built for people who want something substantially heavier, tougher-looking, and unmistakably different.
Built for the Average Dog
Lighter Materials
Many mass-market collars prioritize low weight, low cost, and easy shelf appeal rather than the substantial feel some powerful dogs need.
Lightweight Hardware
Thin buckles, small rings, and inexpensive plated hardware can feel outmatched on a large, powerful dog.
Layered Construction
Some collars rely on thin backing materials, glued layers, synthetic fillers, or decorative finishes that can wear differently over time.
Built for the Average Dog
Most pet-store collars are designed to work for the broadest possible market. THE ALPHA™ was built with powerful dogs and big personalities in mind.
THE ALPHA™ Collar
11 oz Latigo Leather
Thick latigo leather gives THE ALPHA™ its substantial feel, rugged appearance, and heavy-duty foundation.
304 Stainless Steel Hardware
A heavy-duty double-prong roller buckle and solid D-ring give the collar serious, substantial hardware where it matters.
Signature Steel Chain
The riveted stainless steel chain is the defining Rhino Collars detail — unmistakable, rugged, and built directly into THE ALPHA™ design.
Solid Rivet Construction
THE ALPHA™ is assembled one collar at a time using solid-body rivet construction instead of relying on decorative stitching to hold the major components together.
WHY RHINO COLLARS EXISTS
I didn't start making these collars because I wanted another business. I started Rhino because I got tired of trusting my dog's safety to gear that wasn't built for dogs like mine.

Chief Testing Officer
Rhino (Age 4)
My pit bull, Rhino, is a literal freight train. He's not real big, but when he decides to go after something, he does it with all of his heart and soul. I've watched him snap commercial tie-out cables, shatter plastic collar buckles, and destroy store-bought swivel snaps like they were paper.
Walks weren't enjoyable. They were stressful, high-anxiety containment operations. Having him outside became a constant concern for his safety and everyone around him. If he saw a squirrel, another dog, FedEx, or almost anything else, he was ready to go. The only thing that could reliably distract him was hearing my truck start. He loves rides more than violence, which has probably saved me more than once.
Eventually, I stopped going to stores looking for something I could trust and decided to build my own. If your dog has explosive power, you probably aren't looking for the same collar your neighbor buys for his Yorkie. You want something heavier, wider, more substantial, and built with serious hardware. That's THE ALPHA™..
The 3-Month Graveyard
4 snapped nylon buckles, 2 ripped fake-leather collars, and 1 bent brass D-ring.
The Workshop Stand
Refusing cheap imported hardware. Buying raw 11 oz full-grain latigo leather and hand tools.
The Overbuilt Standard
Overbuilt with hand-peened aircraft aluminum rivets and 304 stainless steel.
Leather. Steel. Chain. No Shortcuts.
THE ALPHA™ starts with thick latigo leather, then adds substantial stainless hardware, solid-body aircraft aluminum rivets, and the signature steel chain that makes a Rhino Collar impossible to mistake for ordinary gear.

11 OZ LATIGO LEATHER
Thick 11 oz latigo leather gives THE ALPHA™ its substantial foundation. Every exposed edge is hand-beveled and burnished for a smoother finished edge and a cleaner handmade feel.

304 STAINLESS DOUBLE-PRONG ROLLER BUCKLE
A substantial double-prong roller buckle gives THE ALPHA™ the kind of hardware its thick leather construction deserves. No lightweight plastic buckle and no delicate pet-store feel.

SOLID-BODY AIRCRAFT ALUMINUM RIVETS
These are solid-body aluminum rivets of the type commonly used in aircraft and structural applications — not hollow decorative pop rivets. Each one is manually set at the workbench to create a strong mechanical connection through the leather.

THE SIGNATURE STEEL CHAIN
The heavy chain wrapped around THE ALPHA™ is the detail that makes the collar instantly recognizable. Leather gives it the foundation. Steel gives it the attitude. The chain makes it Rhino.
Cut, Beveled & Assembled at the Workbench
Every THE ALPHA™ is cut from the hide, the edges are beveled and burnished, and the solid-body rivets are manually set one collar at a time.
Handmade on the Workbench. Zero Shortcuts.
THE ALPHA™ isn't stamped out by the thousands. I build each one at the workbench using thick latigo leather, substantial stainless steel hardware, solid-body aircraft aluminum rivets, and hand tools. One collar. One dog. One build at a time.

Maker Standard
11 oz Latigo & 304 Stainless Steel
“I can't make hundreds of these, but I can make yours.”
Hand-Cut 11 oz Latigo
01I start with thick 11 oz latigo leather and cut every collar individually at the workbench. No thin bonded scraps, foam cores, or fake-leather layers pretending to be heavy-duty gear.
304 Stainless & Aircraft Rivets
02The heavy-duty double-prong roller buckle and solid D-ring are secured with hand-set solid-body aircraft aluminum rivets. No hollow decorative rivets holding the major components together.
Beveled & Burnished by Hand
03Every exposed leather edge is hand-beveled and burnished for a smoother, cleaner finished edge against your dog’s neck. It takes longer. That is kind of the point.

Important Scientific Disclosure
These are not actual customer testimonials. They are fictional opinions attributed to dogs for comedic purposes. Dogs cannot type, leave online reviews, conduct laboratory testing, or independently verify Rhino's alleged 80% increase in sex appeal.
No female dogs were compensated for their completely fictional opinions.
THE ALPHA™ MAKES YOUR DOG 80% SEXIER.
“Independent laboratory testing has confirmed absolutely nothing.”
I took thick 11 oz latigo leather, beveled and burnished the edges, fitted it with a heavy-duty double-prong 304 stainless steel roller buckle, and secured the major components with solid-body aircraft aluminum rivets.
Then there's the chain.
The chain isn't subtle. Neither is THE ALPHA™.
That heavy steel chain wrapped around the collar is usually the first thing people notice. Put THE ALPHA™ on a broad-chested dog, add a little sunlight hitting the steel, and suddenly the walk around the block feels more like an entrance.
Leather. Steel. Chain. No Apologies.
Handmade for dogs with more than their fair share of personality.

How to Measure Your Dog's Neck
Every THE ALPHA™ is custom-built around the neck measurement you provide. Give me the actual measurement — I'll build the adjustment room into the collar.
Position the Tape
Use a soft measuring tape around the middle of your dog’s neck where THE ALPHA™ will naturally sit.
Have your dog standing naturally and keep the tape level around the neck.
Snug, Not Tight
Measure snugly against the neck without squeezing or adding extra space.
The tape should lie flat against the fur without pinching the skin.
No Tape? Use String
If you do not have a soft measuring tape, use a piece of string and then measure the string.
Wrap the string around the neck, mark where the ends meet, then lay it flat against a ruler or tape measure.
Enter the Exact Number
Enter your dog’s actual neck measurement in inches at checkout. Do not add extra room. Measure twice before submitting your order.
I build the adjustment range into the collar, so you only need to give me the actual neck measurement.

Every THE ALPHA™ has 5 sets of adjustment holes for the double-prong buckle — two holes per setting. I place your dog's actual neck measurement at the second-smallest set.
Measure your dog snugly and send me the actual number. I'll position that measurement on the second-smallest set of holes, so the collar already has one tighter setting and three larger settings built in.
Custom built around your dog's actual neck measurement
Made-to-Order & Custom Sized
Every THE ALPHA™ is built for the dog it is ordered for. Measure carefully, send me the actual neck size, and I'll build the adjustment range around that measurement.
Every ALPHA™ is made to order using the neck measurement you provide at checkout. Each collar includes 5 adjustment holes, with your dog’s measurement positioned at the second-smallest setting — giving you one adjustment smaller and three larger.
Once your order reaches my workbench, I hand-cut the latigo leather and build the collar specifically around your dog’s measurement. The major components are secured with solid-body aircraft aluminum rivets — the same style of solid rivet commonly used in aircraft and structural applications.
Because each collar is custom-made to the measurement supplied at checkout, returns or exchanges are not accepted for incorrect measurements, change of mind, or buyer preference. If your collar arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what you ordered, contact me so I can review the issue.
Measure the Dog — Not the Old Collar
Measure snugly around the middle of your dog's neck where the collar will sit and enter that measurement in inches at checkout. Do not add extra room — the 5-position adjustment range is built into the collar.
Solid-Body Aircraft Aluminum Rivets
THE ALPHA™ uses solid-body aluminum rivets of the type commonly used in aircraft and structural applications. Each is hand-set at the workbench to create a strong mechanical connection without relying on stitching to hold the major components together.
